    Name: Trash-Off
    Date: April 21, 2018
    Time: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Trash-Off is a citywide effort to improve the curb appeal of our city for residents and visitors alike.  The program was established to allow city residents the opportunity to dispose of items not collectable in the weekly city trash pick-up.  It is intended as a “self-help Spring clean-up”.  It is a good way to get rid of those un-wanted items cluttering up your yard, garage or storage areas.

The Annual ODOT Trash-Off is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.  This event is a dump day for the residents within the city limits of Checotah.  As in past years, you must present a Checotah Water Department bill stub, a driver's license or a photo ID and a current paid account with Sue's Recycling.  Any resident who presents all these items to personnel at Sue's Recycling site north of town on old Business 69 will be allowed to dump free of charge during the designated hours.

****Items that will NOT be accepted at either site include hazardous wastes such as paint; oil; antifreeze; tires; tree limbs; construction scraps or roof shingles; propane or gas tanks; or appliances that contain Freon.
Tree limbs may be taken to the City limb disposal area off North Avenue East. Turn north on west side of the railroad tracks road to the disposal area.

Trash-Off is sponsored by the Checotah Chamber of Commerce, the City of Checotah, Creek Nation Community and Sue’s Recycling and volunteers.

Trash bags are available at the Chamber Office located at 114 N. Broadway (Heartland Heritage building) while supplies last.  If you have questions about the annual Checotah Trash-Off events, call the Chamber of Commerce at 918-473-2070.
